Pictures of the Day - Part 1

Here's your next installment of Vince's pictures of the day! These are some of the pictures Vince sends me of Eli (and himself sometimes) while they are at home hanging out and I am at work!

Swimming

Here's some better pictures of Eli in his floatie in the pool at Destin. He just loved swimming around in this. He would kick his little legs and get around the pool pretty good!!

Stickers!!

Eli LOVES stickers! Everytime after tumbling class he gets stickers and is the first one in line!! Well, the other day I got one of those craft mailers, and it had a bunch of stickers in it! He noticed them right away and went to town with them! He had stickers all over his face and my face. What fun!!

So Tired!

Poor Eli! This was the day after we got home from vacation and he was still trying to catch up on sleep! This was him at 6:45 on Tuesday evening. We put him in his high chair for dinner, and I was getting his food ready, and he zonked out! We tried waking him up to get him to eat, and he wanted nothing to do with it. So, I got him out of his seat at 7:30, changed his diaper and put him in his pj's (which he kept trying to roll over on the bed and sleep!) and then put him to bed. He slept until 9:45 the next morning!!!!! Guess he was tired!

Happy Birthday Logan!

I didn't get this up in time for Logan's real birthday (July 3 - sorry!) Happy Birthday Logan! Logan and Eli are 10 days apart, so it was fun to be pregnant at the same time of my sister. It's also fun seeing Logan and Eli together. What a fun time!!! Hope you had a great 2nd birthday Logan! We love you and miss you tons!!

Elijah's 2nd Birthday!!

Elijah celebrated his 2nd birthday while we were down in Florida. We went out to dinner and celebrated and came back to the condo and had cupcakes. He wasn't feeling too hot on his birthday and had a fever, but he was a real trooper and still had a good time. Here's pictures from his birthday. He's having his party next weekend, so there will be tons more pictures from then!!

Florida Vacation

We had a great time in Destin, Florida last week. It was SO hot while we were there! In the high 90's/low 100's. It was great being right at the ocean and having direct access to the beach. We left last Friday at midnight and traveled through the night and got to Florida around 1:00 in the afternoon. We were there for a week and then took 2 days to get back to Kentucky - those were some of the longest days I can think of!! It was nice to get away and have some time off, but it's definitely always nice to be home and sleep in our own bed! Now, to just finish unpacking :-)

Our Wonderful News

Today we got to see our new baby, and hear that wonderful sound of a heartbeat!! God is so good and we are so blessed to be able to be parents again! Eli is excited about being a big brother too. When we ask him where the baby is, he points to my belly, and gives my belly kisses. For a while, when we asked him if he wanted a brother or a sister, he said he wanted a horse! Now, he's caught on, and says he wants a baby. That's much more attainable!!

Please pray that the morning sickness will pass as it's reared it ugly head full force! Please pray for a healthy pregnancy and that this baby will grow just as he/she should!

We are due February 10, which coincidentally is my Mom's birthday! How fun!!!

Eli will watch me put my make-up on in the mornings, and he's so funny! He likes to get right in there and pretend to put the make up on too! He especially likes taking my eyelash curler, and pretending to curl his eyelashes! He always laughs at me when I take it out and curl my lashes! He's such a funny boy!

I Love It When Wednesday . . . . .

I Love It When. . .

. . .Vince and I get a night away to celebrate our anniversary!

. . .I mention to my boss that Vince is taking me out to dinner AGAIN for our anniversary, and I am thinking of Maggiano's, and then she reaches into her bag, and pulls out a Maggiano's gift card that she isn't going to use, and she gives it to me!! YAY!

. . .Eli gives me BIG kisses when I say good-bye to him in the morning and even makes the "mwah" sound when he does it!

. . .Eli says "thank you" when I open the door for him at the YMCA for tumbling class, and then again when I give him his plate of food at dinner time.

. . .I come home and there is a dozen beautiful roses from my very wonderful husband.

. . .I am going on vacation to Florida in 10 days!

. . .Elijah falls asleep in my arms as I rock him to sleep at night. I love that boy!

Happy Anniversary!!!

Today Vince and I are celebrating 6 years of "wedded bliss!" I am so thankful and blessed to be married to my best friend. It hasn't always been an easy road, but it's been the road God has intended for us. We have been through many ups and downs as a couple/family, but God has always been good to us. I love Vince now more than I ever thought possible! I love spending time with him and just doing nothing with him! He is an amazing father to Elijah and Elijah loves his daddy so much! I can't imagine my life without Vince! He is truly a God-send, and was made just for me!

Happy Anniversary Baby! I love you so much and look forward to the many many years ahead of us, and the surprises that God has in store for us!!!

Our Weekend

After we got home from Indianapolis, we went to our sister-in-law's nephew's graduation party - hard to explain, but we are very close to her side of the family too - all one big family! We had a great time and Eli was full of energy as usual!!

Night In Indianapolis

Vince and I had a fabulous time in Indianapolis celebrating our anniversary (early). We dropped Eli off at Vince's brother and sister-in-law's house. Eli was almost pushing us out the door, telling us, "GO"! I guess he was ready for a night away from us! I cried as we pulled away, but survived! The whole trip, we kept thinking of Eli and wondering how he was doing, but we knew he was in VERY GOOD hands, and had nothing to worry about!

We got to the hotel, the Omni Severin and valet parked the car, got checked in, and had time to just unpack, and relax and iron our clothes for dinner (well, I did that part!) We walked the few blocks to the restaurant, McCormick & Schmicks, and got right in - whoo hoo! The meal was DELICIOUS! I had the Lobster Ravioli and Vince had the Parmesean Horseradish Crusted Halibut. Both meals were fantastic! We even got dessert afterwards, and because it was our anniversary dinner, I got my dessert for free! YAY!!

We waddled back to the hotel since we were so stuffed! And got to relax some more before we headed out to the movies. We called Eli and talked to him for a few minutes, and then said our good-nights! He was being so good! We got to the movie theater early, so we decided to see Angels & Demons instead of UP. It was a great movie and I liked it even more than DaVincci Code. Good movie! And of course, a big tub of popcorn and icees were on the docket!! YUM!

We got back to the hotel around 12:30 and fell fast asleep as soon as we hit the pillows! We had coffee and juice delivered to our door at 8:00 sharp - free! Even better! Then we headed out to Patachou on the Park - probably one of my favorite restaurants in Indianapolis. It was a nice walk and the cool morning air felt great! Our breakfast of totally organic food was SOOOOO yummy! Love that place!

We had a great trip, but by the time breakfast was over and our bags were packed, we were so ready to get home and see Eli! We are thankful for the time together and loved the quiet time alone, but we really missed Eli and love every second with him!! Thanks Bub and Terry for watching Eli - we really appreciate you both!!!!

Off to Indianapolis!

Well, tonight, I'm taking Vince to Indianapolis for the night to celebrate our 6th anniversary (a few days early)! I planned everything for this adventure and surprised him with it a few days ago. We'll be dropping Eli off at our brother and sister-in-law's for the night. It's our first time leaving him overnight! I'm a little scared, but I think we'll be ok. Eli won't know the difference. He'll be glad to be spending the extra time with his Aunt and Uncle and cousins! We'll head out to Indianapolis and stay at the Omni Severin downtown.

We have dinner reservations at McCormick & Schmicks - amazingly yummy seafood! I made reservations at 2 different restaurants, and let Vince choose which one. He chose the seafood - good choice! Then we'll be going to the movies after dinner and seeing UP. I think it's funny that we have a night away from Eli for a romanting evening, and we go see a kid's movie! HA! Then we'll stay the night and then go out to breakfast at one of our favorite places in Indy, Patachou on the Park. It's an all organic restaurant, and their food is so yummy! I love their omlets, and Vince, of course, loves their coffee selection. Then we'll head home after breakfast and pick up the little guy. It will be a nice time away for us, seeing that this is the first time we've been away from Eli overnight!

This is the "certificate" that I made for Vince telling him what the Anniversary Surprise was! He was definitely surprised, and we're so excited!!

Well, technically MY iPhone, but I added a bunch of applications/games for him, and he plays on it all the time! He has so much fun, and I get the satisfaction that he's learning something!
