Well, today Kroger was having a HUGE 50% off sale on tons of different things. It started at 12:01am this morning and will end tonight at midnight. If I had a bigger pantry and more room, I would have gotten more, but I contained myself (budget, budget!!).

I Love It When Wednesday. . .

I Love It When. . .

. . .Eli wants to read EVERYTHING, even if that includes the Christian Book Distributor Catalog!

. . .My boss at work is so flexible that it's ok if I leave early because of being sick and don't have to use vacation time!

. . .Eli freely tells us he Loves Us!!!

. . .Eli eats a whole cob of corn!

. . .Morning/Afternoon/Evening sickness slowly becomes just Morning/Afternoon sickness!

. . .Eli hugs my belly and gives the baby kisses!

. . .Vince puts up with my crazy hormonal pregnancy antics/cravings :-)

This was the progression of pictures Vince sent me yesterday of Eli. What a crazy boy (both of them!!)!

When Eli sees these pictures, he says, "MESS!" And boy is he right!!!







I guess that's what salad, rice, fruit, cranberries, and homemade pizza will do to you!

Tumbling Class

This is Eli's third session of tumbling at our YMCA. We were so excited for him to be in this class since he got the interaction with other kids a few times a week, and it got us out of the house and into a new "view". Lately, the class has been mediocre to say the least, and we were VERY disappointed with how things were going in the class. So, like a good mother, I wrote a letter to the YMCA detailing my concerns, and asking them to do something about this. Well, last night we walked in the gym, and it was like NIGHT & DAY!! I guess my letter did the trick, and what the gymnastics director must have lit a fire under the instructors! The teachers were interative with the kids (as they have not been in the last several weeks), they had stations set up around the gym with different activities for the kids to take part in, they had the bouncy track back up (which hasn't been up in WEEKS), and it was just so refreshing to know that I had made a difference. The kids had a BLAST and it was great. I hope they keep up with this, because this is definitely worth it! Here's some pictures of our fun time!

Fun at the Zoo

Last weekend we went to the zoo with our friend Matt and his son (a few months older than Eli!). His wife Jen had to work, so we missed spending time with her too! Eli and AJ had a blast with all the animals at the zoo, and the weather couldn't not have been more perfect! After we went to the zoo and had lunch, it started to rain, so our timing was great!!!! Play Doh Ponderings

I got the BEST email from our nursery director last night. It is as follows:

Hey Abby,

just to let you know, I'm not sure how much play-doh Eli ate today. I saw him with it in his mouth as he was swallowing it! Didn't know whether to call you or not and missed you at the desk. Sorry I wasn't watching him as well as I should have been.

I responded back that her email made me laugh out loud!!! Eli is 2 years old - I've learned to expect that play doh will be part of his "diet" for a little while longer!

I love our nursery at church and how loving the workers are towards the kids. They do so much and expend so much energy on our children. This email just was the icing on the cake!

Eli's 2nd Birthday Party!

Yesterday we had Eli's 2nd Birthday Party (just a few weeks late!) We had such a great time - it was wonderful to see our family and friends and spend some time celebrating the life of my little man and what a blessing he has been to all of us! Eli's 2 Year Pictures

We went and had Eli's 2 year pictures done this past Friday. The last time we had his pictures done was not a fun experience, so we were a little dreadful about these pictures (Vince was more than I was!). Well, we only had to wait about 15 minutes and got right in. He did really well for a while, and then something spooked him out. Eli was SO clingy to me and didn't want to let go. Not sure what happened, but it went downhill from there! There were tears, but we survive! We got some really good pictures thankfully! You can see them all HERE. I've put some of our favorites below.

















HA! Meltdown!

I Love It When Wednesdays!!

I've slacked off and haven't done this for a few weeks, but I have so many things that I Love It When. . . . . .So, here goes!!

I LOVE IT WHEN. . .

. . .Eli comes screaming and running down the hall when I get home from work, and gives me big hugs and kisses and just holds on to me!

. . .You hear that glorious sound of the heartbeat of a new baby on the ultrasound!

. . .The morning sickness subsides for a few minutes so I can eat!

. . .Vince scratches my back in just the right spot!

. . .Eli actually eats something, let alone a whole piece of pizza!

. . .Eli entertains the other patients in the doctor's waiting room!

. . .I find cute outfits for Eli at the outlets for a great price!

. . .Eli goes on the potty and then is SO proud of himself! He even reached out to me with his arms wide open, and said, "HUG!" I love that boy!!!

I LOVE IT WHEN ELI'S LEGS DRAPE OVER HIS CARSEAT! HE'S SO COMFY!

Baby Turner

Well, we had our follow up appointment with my specialist yesterday (although the appointment was really for today - BABY BRAIN!!). Anyway, things are looking really good! The baby is measuring 9 weeks today, and has a really strong heartbeat of 176 beats! It was really cute - after we heard the heartbeat, that wonderful wooshing sound, Eli started making the sound himself. It was so cute! He kept looking at the ultrasound picture and saying "baby, baby - belly" (since the baby is on it's belly right now). I love this baby so much already! It's amazing how much detail is already there at 9 weeks! You can see the baby's head and spine, and the umbilical cord starting. God is so amazing!!!!
