Our Sick Little Eli

Well, Eli isn't feeling so hot these days. I think he's got an upper respiratory infection. Running nose (non-stop), cough, sneezing, and now he's starting to lose his cute little voice!! Even with him feeling sick, he'll still give us a smile!

POOR KIDDO - CHECK OUT HIS NOSE!

Look at this Alex!

Eli tried oh so very hard to get Alex to look into his view-finder. Alex didn't think it was as fun as Eli did!!

Snow Storm!

This is my 3rd day home from work since we got a nasty snow/ice storm the other night. 2 times I've attempted to go to work, and I've ended up turning back and coming home - at least I tried! So, we've had a lot of pajama days here in the Turner home.

Dumpster Divers

I guess you can call us dumpter divers! The other night Vince looked out the front window and saw that the neighbors had put this slide in the trash. It was in perfect shape and just the right size for Eli. He went and got it out of their trash, and now Eli has a new slide! Here's some pictures of our free find!

Birthday Festivities

So, today is my 31st birthday! I've had a great day. It all started yesterday actually when I got a massage and a haircut. What a great afternoon that was!!!

Today, I slept in, stayed in my pj's until about 2:00 and then finally got ready for the day. We went to Mitchell's Fish Market on the Levee here in Newport, and I got some yummy lobster, and since we told them it was my birthday I got a free dessert! It was this HUGE ice cream dessert called a Sharkfin Pie. It was SOOOO good. We couldn't eat it all it was so big.

Then we came home and I opened my presents from Vince and Elijah. I got a beautiful Willow Tree figurine of a mother holding a child (just what I wanted). And then Vince got me a new video camera - it's one of those FlipVideo Cameras that just plug right into your computer and downloads the video - SO great!

Vince made me a delicious red velvet cake, of which we actually cut into last night since it looked so yummy - we couldn't wait!! ha!!

Here are some pictures from my day and a video of Eli using my new camera! Thanks for everyone that has wished me well on my day. It's been great!!

New Background

I thought in honor of my birthday month, I'd change my background to cupcakes!! They look yummy! How often do you change your backgrounds? I think since I found "The Cutest Blog On The Block" site, I'll be changing quite often - keep it interesting! Enjoy!

Welcome Parker Wade Bateman!!

My sister had her 5th child last night! I'm so excited to be an Aunt again!! Parker Wade Bateman was born on Friday, January 9 at 10:00pm (Canadian time). He was 8 lbs, 12.9 oz and 20 1/4 inches long. They are up in Newfoundland, Canada, so unfortunately we won't get to see them anytime soon :-( I guess I'll have to survive on pictures and Skype!!! Here's some pictures of my adorable nephew!

Right Before My Eyes

My little baby has grown up right before my eyes! He's now a big boy, and I can't believe how fast the time has gone. He's talking all the time and comes up with new things every day. He's a small list of all his "accomplishments" already at 18 months!

He's gone on the potty 2 times already!

He knows the following animal sounds: cat (MOW), dog (panting noise), horse (NAY), sheep (BAA), elephant (hard to explain that sound!), monkey (OOO-OH, AAH-AH), camel (spit noise - Vince taught him that one!!)

He loves throwing balls and kicking them.

He loves playing with his kitchen and "trying" all the foods that go with it.

He always greets me at the doorway when I come home from work with a "Hi Mom" and a big hug.

He said "Lub Ew" the other night for the first time (Love You)!

He loves seeing pictures of babies - he always perks up and says, "Baby, Baby."

He loves to dance and "go crazy" (as we call it!).

He's becoming such a little man. His vocabulary is huge and he says new things all the time. He's picking up on what we say and trying to say them too. This boy amazes me more and more each and every day and I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!!!

What Spaghetti? Where?

Chillin' Out

I LOVE THESE BOYS SO MUCH!!

Playing!

Here's some pictures of Elijah playing with his Christmas presents!

He's slowly getting the concept of the viewfinder!
