Happy Easter!

WE had a good Easter today. Unfortunately, Vince had to work today, so it was just me and Eli. We went to church with Vince's brother and his family and then went to our sister-in-law's family (extended family to us, but just as close). Elijah did very well in church. They don't have a nursery, so I was praying Eli would behave. He did great! We had a fun time and had a very delicious meal at the Leistner's (sister-in-law's family), and it was quite relaxing. We celebrated our sister-in-law's birthday today as well, so it was a multi-purpose day today! Here's some pictures from our day!

Photo Project

Well, we've gotten several pictures done of Elijah and I was coming to the conclusion that we simply could not have 30 framed pictures in our hallway! So, while grocery shopping yesterday, I discovered these collage frames at Meijer - it was perfect, the picture sizes were 5x7, 3x5, and wallet! All the sizes we have to put up! The frame was on sale for $12.97, and to top it all off, they were having a sale on frames, buy one, get one free! I got 3 of the frames and have 2 filled out and will have the 3rd for his next photo shoot!! What a fun project!

THIS FRAME WE ALREADY HAD FROM IKEA, BUT IT MATCHES PERFECTLY!!

Well, Elijah has a third tooth with a fourth one not far behind! The only thing is that he's getting his "fang" teeth and not the 2 front teeth! It's pretty funny looking! The only way we get him to show us his teeth is to growl and make him growl with us! It's pretty hilarious!

Michael Buble Concert

Let me just start off by saying WHAT AN AMAZING CONCERT!! We had such a great time at the concert. This was one of our first dates since Elijah was born, and boy was it a good one! We had really good seats too - 5th row on the 3rd section back. It was just the perfect angle to see the whole stage and see Michael Buble's expressions! Let's see - let's rehash the night!

We didn't think there would be an opening act since there was nothing really advertised about it, but there was. It was this group called Naturally 7 from NYC. They were an all acapella group and they were GREAT! They sang a few songs talked a little bit and did their thing. It really got the crowd warmed up and was really good. Here's some pictures of them.

The place was packed. They said there was about 9000 people there! The place was sold out!!

Well, then the show started and the crowd went crazy, of course!!!! I won't go into all the details of the show, but it was truly amazing! MB (Michael Buble) is such a showman! His stage presence is amazing and in the times between songs when he was chatting with the audience and such, he was hilarious! I do have to tell this one part cause it's hilarious! He was talking to these 2 girls towards the front row (15 years old and 17 years old) and he ended up going down on the floor and getting a picture of them. Well, then he of course was walking the front row giving hugs and pictures and such, and he walked up to this older man and kissed him on the forehead and then this older lady next to him, grabbed MB and gave him a big hug and reached around and squeezed MB's tush! It was HILARIOUS! The crowd went crazy! This was all captured on the big screens next to the stage. MB got back on stage and thanked the woman - he said he lived for that kind of stuff! HA! It was so great!

The music was incredible. His band was great. The gospel choir at the end was great!! I can't wait for MB to come back to Cincinnati, because you better believe that I'll be there!! Here's some pictures from my AMAZING night!

200!!

Well, the previous post was my 200th post!! WOW! I never thought I'd have enough stuff to fill a blog, and pre-Elijah, I probably wouldn't have! He's just into so many things and sooooo fun, that it's hard not to post so much!

So, for those of you that are my faithful readers, thanks! I keep a blog for several reasons. Originally, it was an avenue to keep in touch with old friends and such. Now it's turned into my constant connection with friends and especially family far-off! I want to keep my family up on Elijah's ever changing life! It's my avenue for creativity (which I like to think I have a little bit of).

This summer I'll be "publishing" my blog into a book, specifically for Elijah's first year. That should be a fun task! So, thanks for sticking around for 200 posts! Can't wait for the next 200!!!

Fetch!

Alex and Elijah are starting to play better together! Obviously, bringing a baby home is a big adjustment for a pet, and Alex has done really well adjusting to her new human friend! She's gotten to the point where sometimes when we're playing with her and her toys, she'll run and get it and drop it by Elijah so he can "throw it" for her! What usually happens is that Elijah holds on to the toy, and she ends up pulling him around on the floor a little!

The other day Elijah was threatening to throw her toy over the gate - she wasn't happy about that one and was trying her best to get her toy!!!

"COME ON ALEX - COME GET YOUR TOY!"

"I'M GONNA THROW IT OVER HERE IF YOU DON'T GET IT!"

Then, last night, I wish I could have gotten a picture of it. The ultimate bond between a boy and his dog! I was feeing Elijah in his walker (something I never do but was pressed for time). Well, it's at the perfect level for Alex. So, after he was done eating, and before I was able to wipe his face, Alex licked his face clean! Elijah was laughing and I had a good laugh about it. Oh, it warms my heart that they are starting to play well together - ha!!
