My Son Is So Smart!
So, last night, Eli was in the living room with Vince playing while I was getting dinner ready. And my amazingly smart son told his Daddy, "I go poo" and sure enough, in his diaper, was exactly that! He's so smart!! Just had to brag on him!

Our Christmas Tree
We weren't going to put up a tree this year, for the sole reason that Eli is getting into EVERYTHING and we weren't sure we were ready for this! HA! I decided yesterday that I wanted to have a tree and that we could handle Eli getting into it (if he actually did). So, after Vince went to work, I put the tree up and decorated the house. We kind of compromised and didn't put ornaments on the tree. It has the angel tree topper, lights and ribbons. Everytime Eli sees it with the lights on, he says "Whoa/Wow!" It's so cute to see him having fun with the tree. Christmas just isn't Christmas without the tree!!

I SEE YOU!

Eli's New Chair
We got Eli his own little chair for Christmas and gave it to him early (he'll be getting enough on Christmas - ha!) He LOVES his chair. He's so cute just lounging in his Yo Gabba Gabba chair!

Picture Disaster!!
So, we went last night to get our family Christmas pictures done as well as Eli's 18 month pictures. We ended up waiting almost an hour to even start our session - disaster #1. Then while we were getting our pictures done, the photographers were not very good and were not very engaging of Elijah and getting him to smile - disaster #2. Then, 2 of the 3 cameras in the studio decide to stop working, and our photographer had the only working camera - disaster #3. We hadn't even finished our Christmas pictures and barely got Eli into his outfit for his 18 month pictures when another photographer came into our studio and told our photographer we had to be done. We weren't even close to being done with our pictures. We didn't even get any pictures of Eli. We only got ONE decent family picture for our Christmas cards - DISASTER #4, and the BIGGEST! I was so upset. They cut our session short and all because the other photographer didn't want to wait. We waited for an hour to get our pictures started! We left with 50 free Christmas cards and 30 more that we purchased so we could get all our cards. What a waste of 2 hours!!!
So, I have an appointment for Saturday at another studio and one for Sunday as well in case those don't pan out. I'm praying now that we have, 1) Good photographers, 2) Not long of a wait, 3) A Cooperative Toddler, 4) Amazing pictures!
I wrote to the corporate office of the photo studio letting them know of the horrible experience we had at their studio. I'm hoping something comes of this because it was definitely a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad night!!!!
How do you handle picture disasters?!?!?!?

Thanksgiving/Fall Fun
We had a great visit with my mom and grandmother while they were here in Kentucky! We had our own Thanksgiving at our house on Wednesday and it came out super yummy! I'm making Turkey and Dumplings as I write this - the house smells so yummy! My mom and I did some shopping on "Black Friday" but didn't find any amazing deals, but had fun anyway! I was very sad to see my mom and grandmother leave. Our times together always go too fast!! Here's some pictures from our week together!

Blogging Pause
So, I'll be pausing my blog for a few days. My mom is visiting for the week from New Hampshire, so I'll be busy busy! I'm looking forward to a short week at work (working half-days today and Tuesday) and then 5 days off after that - whoo hoo!! My grandmother came too, but she is staying with my uncle an hour away. So, it's just Nanna for most of the week!! What fun!!! I'll post more after all the activities have slowed down!
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

God Supplies!

This is our new-to-us wagon that we got for FREE today off of Freecycle! I have been wanting one of these for a long time, but just couldn't justify spending the money on it. What a neat thing to see God giving me a want, and not necessarily a need! I'm so excited for Elijah to use it (after a good cleaning of course!!) Thank you Lord for always meeting our needs and even my wants!!
