I sang this in Vespers while in University Chorus at Bob Jones. Seemed appropriate for the daily blah I seem to be going through. God is good despite my misgivings and my many minutes of stupidty!!

Thy way, not mine, O Lord,
However dark it be;
Lead me by Thine own hand,
Choose out the Path for me.

Smooth let it be, or rough,
It will be still the best;
Winding or straight it leads
Right onward to Thy rest.

I dare not choose my lot;
I would not if I might:
Choose Thou for me, my God,
So shall I walk aright.

Take Thou my cup, and it
With joy or sorrow fill,
As best to Thee may seem;
Choose Thou my good and ill.

Choose Thou for me my friends,
My sickness or my health.
Choose Thou my cares for me,
My poverty or wealth.

Not mine, not mine the choice,
In things both great and small;
Be Thou my guide, my strength,
My wisdom and my all.

This song just popped into my head while I was getting ready to go out to dinner with Vince. Shrimp - yummy!

Anyway, last spring, May 5, 2005 to be exact, Vince and I lost our twins to miscarriage. After almost 18 months of trying to get pregnant, and a medical diagnosis of a condition that wasn't very positive, obviously, the loss of our babies was devistating, and still is at times!

I've been dealing with depression and emotional pain, and like many people do, question why this happened to me. Well, this song just popped into my head like I said, and maybe this is the beginning of my emotional healing. One can hope and pray that it's so!

I KNOW GOD MAKES NO MISTAKES
HE LEADS IN EVERY PATH I TAKE
ALONG THE WAY THAT'S LEADING ME TO HOME
THOUGH AT TIMES MY HEART WILL BREAK
THERE'S A PURPOSE IN EVERY CHANGE HE MAKES
THAT OTHERS WILL SEE MY LIFE AND KNOW
THAT GOD MAKES NO MISTAKES

How true, and how life changing this can be!

Ok - so I signed up for this thing, basically because I saw SO many people on here from NBBC where I went to school. I won't really be updating on this thing. I keep my blog updated and current on www.myspace.com/abbylittlebit.

Drop in and say hi! Looking forward to talking with everyone soon :-)
