Elijah got banana all in his hair last night, so I was scrubbing his head with the baby wipe, and this is what came of it! He's so adorable!!

All tuckered out
Eli was playing the other day and decided to just lay his head down and rest! He's been doing that a lot lately! When he gets to the rug in the living room or a pillow on the floor, he stops what he's doing and puts his head down and takes a break! It's SO cute!
My First Mother's Day
I had a great first Mother's Day! It started on Friday when Vince had flowers delivered to my office. I had already left for the day, so I had to go back and get them! No problem - we were only 10 minutes away from my office, so we didn't mind!
Then, today I got a nice gift from Elijah - a pretty spa set with yummy smelling lotions and bath gels and such. I can't wait to use it!!
I will be getting my gift from Vince next weekend when I get my new tattoo, so I'm psyched about that! BUT, he also gave me a gift today that was an early Anniversary gift (our anniversary is June 10), so I was pleasantly surprised by that!!

Mother's Day Shot
Then we went to lunch at Mitchell's Fish Market down at Newport on the Levee (shopping/eating area just a few blocks from our house). Being from New England, fresh seafood is a must! I got spoiled growing up there and having yummy seafood! So, when I want REAL seafood, we head to Mitchell's. I got lobster and clam chowder and Vince got Chilean Sea Bass. It was SO yummy!! Elijah enjoyed the bread, oyster crackers, and even a cucumber slice!
(I find it humorous that the restaurant is next to the aquarium! hmmm!)
Then after lunch, we came home to relax and NAP! It was so nice!

I had such a great first Mother's Day! I hope all the other mother's out there had a great day too!!!

When we went to my sister's house in April, we decided to do a family photo shoot and surprise my mom with a group picture and pictures of the grandkids. They came out so good and we were able to keep the secret for a month!!! She loved the pictures, so, Mission Accomplished!! Here's just some of the 167 pictures that were taken!

Bringing in the Groceries
We have this wagon we use to bring in our groceries from the car to our house since our walk-way is pretty long. Today I had a lot to bring in, not to mention Elijah too, so he went along for the ride, and had a blast!

We Are in Trouble!
Elijah took his first steps yesterday! I went to pick Eli up at my sister-in-law's house, and she had been trying to get him to walk all day. Well, I got down and put my arms out and he walked to me - 3 steps all by himself!! It was wonderful! Now that he's figured it out, we're going to be in trouble! My little mover! I'm so proud of him!

Elijah's First Play Date!
Today, Elijah had his first play date. My friend Allison has a little girl a week younger than Elijah. What a fun time they had! It was great that Elijah had a chance to interact with another child his age since he's not in daycare. Caroline isn't either, so it was definitely fun for both of them! Gatlinburg!
We had such a fun time in Gatlinburg this past weekend. It was Elijah's first trip there and also my mom's first trip! It was great that my mom got to come with us. We had a good time just relaxing and spending time together. The weather was ok - rainy here and there, but nothing we couldn't handle! Here's some pictures from our time there!

I can't wait to get back to Gatlinburg again, hopefully this fall. It's been a yearly tradition with a break last year for Elijah's birth (minor details). But now, it's back to reality and working and just wishing I was on vacation again!!
So sleepy!
Elijah was so sleepy the other night - fell asleep in his high chair eating pizza crust (that's how you know he was so tired - he LOVES pizza crust)!!
